Information about Elche's LEZ

The Low Emission Zone (LEZ) of Elche is an initiative promoted by the City Council with the aim of protecting air quality and the health of its inhabitants. Based on municipal ordinance, this measure regulates vehicle traffic in areas identified as most vulnerable to exceeding pollution levels recommended by European and national regulations.

Zones and Restrictions

The LEZ is divided into two main sectors: Elche's Center and Periphery, each with specific restrictions adapted to the characteristics and needs of each zone. In the Center, access is mainly restricted to residents, public transport, low-emission vehicles, and essential services, with defined schedules for goods delivery. In the Periphery, less restrictive rules are applied, but equally aimed at promoting the use of sustainable transport.

Our Commitment

This project is part of Elche's commitment to fighting climate change and improving urban quality of life. To find out if your vehicle meets the access requirements or to request special permits, please check the sections above.
